[NEW: PICTURES OF THE CONFERENCE]
The aim of this meeting, the third one after similar meetings in 2000 and 2004, is to bring together people interested in Approximation Theory from France and Belgium, but also from other places.
This meeting also includes a short-course on "discrete minimal energy problems" delivered by E.B. Saff, which is in particular accessible for non-experts and especially for PhD students (pour savoir plus sur comment repartir des points sur une surface voir un article de vulgarisation paru dans Science & Vie, et un article plus mathématique paru dans Notices of the American Mathematics Society (2004)).

You are kindly invited to participate at this meeting. The workshop also includes a poster session, where in particular "young" researchers are encouraged to present their recent results. Please fill the form below and press on the submit button. If you want us to reserve a hotel for the period of your stay, please select the button, and choose the corresponding hotel (some more explanations in english and french).
On Thursday May 15, 2008, the conference dinner will take place at the resaurant "Brasserie Flore", which is situated 11, Place Rihour, 59800 Lille (Metro Rihour) in the very center of Lille, very close to the "grand place". For making life easier, you have to select your dish (three corses) in the menu18E latest on thursday May 8, by writing a message to Ana Matos.
