Directions to the Laboratoire Painlevé

The main train stations in Lille are "Lille Europe" and "Lille Flandres". There is a direct subway line from "Lille Flandres" to the campus (see more indications below).

These train stations are very close to each other and you can walk to get from one to the other. To get to the subway station "Lille Flandres" from "Lille Europe", take the exit toward the "esplanade François Mitterand". Follow the bridge spanning the esplanade, on its left. There is a subway entry in front of the shopping center "Euralille" where the bridge reaches the esplanade level.

The price of a subway ticket is 1.50 Euro. You have to validate your ticket on the access to the platform. You can get a ticket from a vending-machine in each subway station. Some vending-machines accept bank notes and you do not need to have the exact change to get a ticket. You can also get a book of 10 tickets for 12.50 Euro.

To get to the campus from the subway station "Lille Flandres", take the subway line 1 to "4 Cantons-Stade Pierre Mauroy". Get off at "Cité scientifique". You are in the center of the scientific campus.
To get to the math department from "Cité scientifique", walk along the subway (which is now an elevated train) in the direction of the next station ("4 Cantons") toward a big cylindric building (which is the library). You will see on your right a building with a big aerial. This is the building "M1". Laboratoire Painlevé is located in building "M2", the building behind "M1" and connected to "M1" by a covered walk.

The talks will take place in room "Salle de réunion", on the first floor of this building.

See the campus and the subway maps.
