I put on my pages images of places important to me; are you able to recognize them?
The goal of the program relies on the determination of effective coefficients for models of transfer of solutes in porous media. The problem appeals to the homogenization of convection-diffusion equations. We wish to participate to the research efforts for the numerical simulation of the disposal of radioactive waste. This work is the object of a collaboration with S. Krell and A. Gloria.
In collaboration with J.-F. Clouet (CEA), the program is devoted to the derivation and simulation of non local models useful in plasmas physics. The PhD thesis of M. Parisot takes place in this program. Through asymptotic arguments, one is led to pseudo-differential models intermediate between a fully kinetic system and a mere diffusion equation.

This work is a continuation of a longstanding collaboration started within the project CAIMAN at Sophia Antipolis with S. Clerc, S. Brosse, F. Poupaud, S. Piperno and the PhD thesis of O. Chanrion and M. Chane-Yook. The topics is the modeling and simulation of charge phenomena the spacecraft are subject to. These phenomena light lead to electrical arcing and the destruction of embarked devices. The models appeal to systems like Vlasov-Maxwell or Euler-Maxwell but with complex boundary conditions. The code SPARCS is currently used to model the charge of actual 3D spacecrafts. This work relies on the participation of J. P. Dudon (Thales), C. Besse, I. Violet (Lille), N. Vauchelet (P6) and the PhD of S. Borghol (Lille).
