The CERLA building can be found right next to the Metro Station "Cité Scientifique" (50 meters to your left when leaving the station). The P5 building is attached to the back of the CERLA building.
How to get to the campus of the Université Lille 1 by public transport? The main train stations in Lille are "Lille Europe" and "Lille Flandres". They are very close together and you can walk from one to the other in less than 10 minutes. The direction to "Lille Flandres" is indicated inside "Lille Europe". They each also harbour a subway station. They are linked by subway and only one stop apart.
In "Lille Flandres", there is a direct subway line to the Université Lille 1 (Stop: "Cité Scientifique"", see below for more information)
To get the campus from the subway station "Lille Flandres", take the subway line 1 to "4 Cantons". Get off at "Cité scientifique". You are in the center of the campus.

Matteo Conforti (PhLAM) Modulational instability in dispersion kicked fibers
Abstract: We study theoretically and experimentally modulational instability in optical fibers where the dispersion is described by a Dirac delta comb. By means of Floquet theory, we obtain the exact expression for modulational instability gain bands, and we provide simple analytical estimations of the frequency and the bandwidth of the sidebands. We realized different microstructured fibers where the periodic modulation of the dispersion in the propagation direction is a comb of Gaussian pulses having widths much shorter than the period, in order to approximate the ideal Dirac comb. The parametric gain measured under quasi continuous wave excitation is in good agreement with the theory and numerical simulations based on the generalized nonlinear Shroedinger equation.

André de Laire (Paul Painlevé) Stability in the energy space for chains of solitons for the Landau-Lifshitz equation
Abstract: In this talk we will consider the one-dimensional Landau-Lifshitz equation, a model describing the dynamics for the spin in ferromagnetic materials. This equation is related to the Schrodinger maps onto the sphere and also to the cubic nonlinear Schrodinger equation. We prove the orbital stability of sums of solitons with an easy-plane anisotropy, under the assumptions that the speeds of the solitons are different, and that their initial positions are sufficiently separated and ordered according to their speeds.
