DETECT (ANR Jeunes chercheuses et jeunes chercheurs) (2010-2013)

DETECT is the name of a project founded by the ANR from 2010 until 2013.

Two main topics are at the core of the DETECT project: change-points detection and multiple testing.
Here is a full description of the project.
A working group is also monthly organized by Sylvain Arlot and myself. The program can be found there.

Members of the DETECT project are Sylvain Arlot, Francis Bach, Tristan Mary-Huard, Étienne Roquain, Joseph Sivic, and myself.

Calibration (ANR blanc) (2012-2015)

Calibration is a project initiated by Vincent Rivoirard. It is based on the idea that the question of parameter tuning is central in nowadays statistical methods. But it is still an open problem, which strengthens the need for a strong cooperation between theoreticians and practitioners.
More details and scientific papers can be found here.

BeFast (PEPS Fascido, CNRS) (2015)

I am the leader of the BeFast PEPS project. It is funded to initiate a new research direction consisting in improving upon ongoing statistical and machine learning procedures in terms of computation time by use of approximated estimators that are faster to compute. This is particularly relevant in large scale settings where any waste of time is highly expensive. This project involves Sylvain Arlot, Tristan Mary-Huard, Guillem Rigaill, Guillemette Marot, and Julien Chiquet.
