SCOPE

After Moscou, Madrid, Nishnii Novgorod,... the 2006 workshop of the INTAS network "NeCCA" will be organized by the Lille group in the "ARTES vacation village" at Ambleteuse, a small village at the coast line of the North sea, by car about 150 km nort-west of Lille. The aim of the meeting is to bring together the researchers of the ten different teams of the network as well as other interested researchers, to exchange ideas, report about recent advances in joint research projects, and to initiate new joint research projects.

PROGRAM

The workshop will start on Saturday Mai 27 with lunch, and stops on Tuesday Mai 30 after lunch. All participants are invited to present a talk about their recent research results. Here is a link to the schedule of the talks and to their abstracts.

LOCATION OF THE WORKSHOP AND TRANSPORTATION

The workshop will take place in the main building of the ARTES vacation village at Ambleteuse, a small village at the coast line of the North sea. The lecture room is equipped with black board, rectro projector and screen (a video projector could be brought from Lille if necessary).

The place of the workshop is quite isolated, which is good for research, but also a bit tricky for transportation.

INSCRIPTION AND PARTICIPATION

You are kindly invited to participate at this meeting. However, if you want to stay at night, it is preferable to inform the organizers until January 31, 2006 for reservation of a room (otherwise we cannot guarantee a room since, in the period of late spring, it is usually difficult to reserve rooms at this place).
Please send a mail if you are interested to join us [preliminary list of participants], even if you stay only during a day. Also, please let us know in advance if you intend to come earlier or stay longer: we would be happy to help you for instance to reserve a hotel in Lille.

ACCOMODATION AND SOCIAL EVENTS

Short description of the village:
Ambleteuse is a smaller fisherman village on the coastline between Boulogne and Calais (by car about 150 km nort-west of Lille), south of the touristic spot "cap gris", in a protected area, wide sandy beaches... The house is about 1km from the coast line. In case of good weather (which is quite likely in end of mai), one can see the cliffs of Dover.
Accomodation:
The ARTES vacation village proposes two different rates are proposed for accomodation: The price is full board (breakfirst and two meals included). It also includes free use of the swimming pool (if weather is not nice enough for you for swimming in the north sea), sauna, Jacuzzi, hammam, Tennis. There is a possibility to have a fast internet connection (we will bring our computers). The price for accomodation has to be payed to ARTES (either french cheque, in cash, or international credit card) after your arrival at Ambleteuse. By default, this price does not include lunch on May 27, but does include lunch on May 30. Please let us know in advance if you want to have lunch also on May 27.
Social events:
Beside having nice walks at the beaches and at the cliffs of the cap gris and the cap blanc, there is a possibility of visiting for instance Calais (with the Rodin statue of the Bourgeois de Calais) or the maritime museum Nausicaa in Boulogne sur Mer or the pretty cathedral of St. Omer. Further details will be posted here later.
