EXTREME DAYS in Lille, 16-17 March 2006
 

The conference "Extreme Days in Lille" will be held at the University of Sciences and Technology of Lille1, on Thursday 16 and Friday 17, March 2006. The main theme will be extreme values in Probability Theory and in Statistics. The importance of extreme values is well known in topics such as finance, insurance, hydrology and more generally environment sciences, medical sciences ...Classical problems, as quantiles or index estimation for extreme distribution, and also some innovations, e.g. in multivariate extreme theory will be discussed.
