In this talk, I will introduce two classes of functions: WS (n-th derivative vanishes once on the interior of its support) and BS (n-th derivative vanishes exactly n times on the interior of its support) . The Polish mathematician Mateusz Kwasnicki proved that the density of an Extended generalized gamma convolution is BS if it is smooth. I will focus on the shape of the densities of free stable laws, some of which are BS while some of which are WS. We will also see some further interesting properties of WS functions.
