Comming to Lille
How to get here

From Paris-Orly airport to Paris-Gare du Nord ( 1h30)
Take the subway "Orlyval'', get off at Antony. Then take the metro RER-Line B to Gare du Nord or
Take a bus "Orlybus'' to Paris. Get off at "Denfert-Rochereau'' in Paris. Then take the metro RER-Line B to Gare du Nord.
From Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport to Paris-Gare du Nord (45mn)
Take the metro RER-Line B to Gare du Nord.
From Paris-Gare du Nord to Lille (1h)
Take a train Paris-Lille. There are two stations in Lille (Gare Lille-Flandres and Gare Lille-Europe) which both are convenient. Be sure to take a TGV train (Très Grande Vitesse): they will take you to Lille in one hour (rather than two and a half in a slow train). TGVs run every hour or so. The fare ranges from 250 FF to 360 FF.
From Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport directly to Lille (50mn)
There is a TGV line going directly from Roissy airport to Lille but there are much fewer trains than from Paris-Gare du Nord.
From Brussels to Lille (2h30)
There are regular shuttles from the airport to the central railway station. Then take a train to Lille.
From Lille-Lesquin airport to Lille downtown (5mn)
There are regular shuttles to the center of Lille.
From Lille downtown to the university in Villeneuve d'Ascq (20mn)
Take the subway VAL "Ligne 1 direction 4 Cantons'' and get off at ''Cité Scientifique''. There is then a 5mn walk from the station Cité Scientifique to the department of Mathematics (Bâtiment M2) .
Metros operate every day from 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM. They run every 3 or 4 mn.
There are two subway lines Ligne 1: C.H.R. CALMETTE ---> 4 CANTONS
Ligne 2: ST-PHILIBERT ---> C.H. DRON
